Troubleshooting "VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected" error on SBS 2008

Symptoms:
|
|
When using the Remote Web Workplace to connect to a remote workstation you receive the following error message:
VBScript: Remote Desktop Disconnected
To connect to Remote Web Workplace, you must install the proper certificate. Contact the person who provides technical support for your network.

Causes:
|
|
This error is generated when the correct certificate has not been installed on the workstation.
|
| |
|
Solution:
|
|
1. At the Windows 2008 SBS Server locate the certificate installation file, usually in C:\Users\Public\Public Downloads
2. Copy the installation file to a USB drive
3. At the workstation that is running the Remote Desktop Connection client run the certificate installation file and follow the instructions on screen
4. Connect to the remote workstation again
